Success often starts with setting a goal
Garlic may seem like an odd goal. Or set of goals. It's both for me - in many layers. I learned so much about cooking using garlic as a base - in college, in Italy, in my first home and each one since. I used it as the theme for my first Toastmaster's speech. I use it to embrace life - the cycle of planting, growing, weeding, scapes, harvesting, curing and the highlight - a garlic festival - gives me a way to think, to share, to live.
Now I have set a new goal. To publish a cookbook from crowd-sourced winning recipes at my wife and my annual Garlic Festival, and to donate 100% of the proceeds to the Falmouth Service Center. More on that later. For now, let's celebrate the stinking rose!
